Discover its story.
Heritiers Saint-Genys are settled in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, in the famous Clos Saint-Jean. Our cellar is located just behind the church of the village.
We grow 14.5 ha of vines between Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise including the famous Clos Marcilly, in Mercurey, our monopoly.
The estate has an artisanal approach in order to offer high quality Burgundy wines. Our philosophy is based on the respect of our terroirs and our vines linked to wine passion.
Our vineyard is grown sustainably, without herbicides. We also limit the use of chemical products and promote the work of soils, including with horses in our 1er crus since 2017.
Harvests are only handmade in small crates with holes, avoiding grape maceration and limiting manipulation and crushing.
In our cellar, Pinot Noir are sorted, destemmed or not depending on the vintage, the grapes and fermented in tank after a short cold maceration. After maceration, they are pressed and barreled in oak casks for about one year.
Chardonnay are directly pressed, softly, and then put in tanks for a first clarification before being barreled for fermentation and ageing.
