Created in 2014, the 4-hectare estate takes over some of the family vineyards of my father Jean Marc Morey. Present on Chassagne Montrachet since the 17th century, the Morey family includes many branches on the village.
With a first experience in the Rhône Valley, I am proud to be able to bring my external vision to the family history. And these for the simple purpose of expressing at best the size of the terroirs that are entrusted to me.
The estate exploits its 4 hectares according to the principles of respectful agriculture, with a total tillage of its vineyards, compost fertilization and biological amendments and a policy of reducing the various inputs.
The gestures are simple and ancestral and the pace of work is dictated each year by Nature. We are looking for a healthy plant that is perfectly integrated into its environment and can give us ripe grapes of the highest quality.
Our wines come from a simplified work to the maximum to let the differences of terroir express themselves at best.
Careful pressing, spontaneous fermentations in 350-liter barrels, long aging and bottling without filtration for whites.
Partly used whole bunches, long maceration with few extractions, long aging in barrels of 350 liters and bottling without filtration for reds.
The key words are simplicity, respect and transparency.
